Pigeon Forge lies between Sevierville and Gatlinburg on the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway (US 441). With five miles of attractions, restaurants, shops and lodging in Pigeon Forge, the Parkway offers a variety of entertainment and fun for all ages and interests. Named for the abundance of Passenger Pigeons (now extinct) which flocked to the area during migratory flights, and early ironworks in the area; Pigeon Forge remains a "small town" while successfully serving tens of thousands of tourists each year.
